Young People/Children's Services

What we do

In refuge the children will be supported by the Family Services team will work closely with mothers to ensure their children’s needs are covered.

The Family Support Worker will work with mothers and their children to provide additional support around parenting.

In addition we have a Play Worker, funded by Children in Need, who organises play activities with the children to ensure they have means of playing out in a safe environment.

We also have a children’s counsellor who works with the children on an individual and group basis to help them deal with their emotional well being.   Funding for the counselling services has been obtained from a variety of sources over the years but is regarded as a very important aspect of the service we provide.
