COVID-19 Update

Update from Choices

We are in a very challenging time and Choices want to reassure you that we are continuing to provide safety, advice and support to those experiencing domestic abuse.

We are following the Government’s advice to self-isolate, which has caused us to re-think how we provide our ongoing support to survivors of domestic abuse.

With this in mind, we would like to reassure you that we are still operating the majority of our services. However, we unfortunately have a few exceptions:

  • Adult support groups (Phoenix) are postponed but we are contacting service users on the waiting lists.
  • We are actively engaging with schools to work creatively with students who have been highlighted as requiring support from our various programmes.
  • A physical One Stop Shop. Given recently reintroduced lockdown measures we are unable to open the One Stop Shop at the present time. Responding to this we have relaunched the Virtual One Stop Shop in Medway.
    • It will open Tuesdays, 09:30 - 12:00
    • You can contact us either on 07392741309; or
    • Via our confidential Helpline, 08009179948, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 10:00 - 16:30.

Choices is mindful that we are all experiencing a period of uncertainty over the next few weeks and even months.

Our dedicated team are working hard to continue supporting people suffering from domestic abuse as their needs are still very much our priority. The team is looking at alternative methods of communicating and supporting people, using 1-2-1 video calls, where safe, as well as messaging and emails.

Our helpline and referral process are both continuing as normal.
